Please take a few minutes to watch this video,  as Hawaii mourns the loss of an amazing man,  Kumu Hula Charles Ka’upu Jr., who passed away July 13 at the early age of 53.  He was a “gentle giant” that touched so many lives with his humor, knowledge, compassion and perpetuation of Hawaiian culture.

Well, Thanksgiving is upon us and that typically marks the beginning of the holiday season. Before the chaos sets in, I would encourage all of us to take a moment and reflect on a few things we are grateful for in our lives. Come on, you can do it!

I am grateful for:

• having wonderful crazy kids and a boyfriend that drive me nuts (I wouldn’t have it any other way)
• a career I love
• sleeping in on rainy days
• pedicures!
